Zottahof in Alpbach

Whilst on solo holiday in Alpbach, enjoying the ski-ing and good company at the Post, I was told about the Zottahof and made the early evening walk up to it one night. A lovely walk, scenic, refreshing and invigorating. I then sat and ate enough food to kill an elephant. Delicious, home cooked, fresh, portions that'd sink a ship... loved it.Great chat with some randoms in the front room which holds four large round tables.Was told to ask for the pint of milk run, which I did. Then I had another... and another one.... then some schnapps.... some more food... then dessert (of course)... then staggered back outside to find it pitch black and four hours later!!Jogged / stumbled / giggled back down the hill in the snow and ice, fell in love with the scenery over Alpbach and the few lights glittering in the crisp night sky.Going to Alpbach? Go to Zottahof.

A wonderful yard, a super sympathetic landlady, great food and a fantastic view. We have been here last year and totally thrilled. Run down from Schatzberg this time and up again. Exhausting, but it was worth it. What do you do not do anything for such a delicious Kaiserschmarrn! Thanks Elsa!

There is hardly a mountain restaurant that combines delicious Tyrolean specialties with such a great view of the mountains and valleys as the Zottahof in the beautiful Alpbach valley. The view of the town and the sunny location are just as impressive as the friendliness of the landlords!

A great view from the terrace - you don't want to leave. Small but very tasty menu. Very friendly service.Gladly again when I'm around again.

What a walk up but what great food. Sautéed potatoes and omlette were awesome and just what we needed. Highly recommended especially if you can get there to watch the sun set

Food and price-performance are good, only the tables / tablecloths are unfortunately not always completely clean.

One of the best hidden secrets in the valley, wonderful food and drink (it's a long way, but walk up to build an appetite). Best experienced with a rodal back down after a couple of Loffelmilch.Never left anything other than extreme satisfied.

A short trip from Alpbach to Zottahof is worthwhile.A year that is luscious and tastes good. A must is the Ksiserschmarrn. Totally nice service. You have to think of the flies while eating.

Good home cooking with very fair prices - as you would expect in a snack station. Nice and friendly service from the boss, with the most beautiful view of Tyrol - conclusion: a visit is worthwhile.

Nice view over Alpbach with quick nice service

Beautiful alpine inn with great service and unbeatable delicacies. The omlets are huge and very good. If you are there as a family you should eat the Tyrolean Gröstl, the omletts and the Kaiserschmarn together and change the plates in between. Then you have a great overview. Everything is very good. You have to try the spoon milk. When the weather is nice, it is recommended to sit outside.

A beautiful place with excellent service

This is how good food works! There were three of us and we had goulash soup, Kaiserschmarren and Gröstl. Everything was extremely tasty, you can only recommend it! Keep it up, we'll be happy to come back in summer!

You can experience what you can do with fresh eggs here. In addition, a perfect sun terrace with an impressive panorama and very friendly hosts. Always my pleasure. Only more courage for Austrian beer! :-)

It's just really nice in all ways. But it isn't very obvious as a restaurant, it is very pretty though. The foods nice as well.
